About ARCH
How It All Began
For over 40 years, Cumberland Heights has been helping teens and their families overcome substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We launched our first adolescent program in 1985.
In 2020, we expanded our commitment to teen recovery by opening ARCH Academy’s Harpeth Campus in Kingston Springs, where adolescent boys can heal through evidence-based therapy, academics, and adventure-based experiences. In 2025, we expanded the ARCH program to include treatment for adolescent girls with the opening of our Ridgeview Campus in Pegram, TN. We also broadened our services by launching the Music Row Intensive Outpatient Program, offering outpatient treatment options for teens who need flexible care.

A Letter From Dean
I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you to ARCH, the Adolescent Program of Cumberland Heights. I am certain that it was not in your family’s plans for your teen to come here. It is likely the result of much pain, sleepless nights and fear that led you to our services.
Navigating a teen through substance abuse struggles can be a very difficult process. It is my hope that with our 40 years of experience in working with adolescents our staff will serve as both a guide and support for you on your recovery journey.
Our goal is to help your teen pursue abstinence from substances, deal with those underlying issues that contribute to his or her self-medicating behavior and provide your family with the tools and resources to support a life of recovery. I frequently tell folks, Cumberland Heights is a place built by alumni. We are very blessed to have so many of our alumni willing to give back and support our new families.
The process is not easy, but it has proven to be life changing. To get the most out of this program, I ask you to become engaged, utilize the resources provided to you and take care of yourself. Welcome to the ARCH Academy and Cumberland Heights family!
